We made kina today out of clay. What is a kina? Where does it live? What does it look like?

Ask someone form Hanly class where clay comes from...we know!

When they are dry we are going to paint them.

Today we made salt dough shapes. We mixed the dough and rolled the dough and made shapes.

We learnt about salt and flour. Do you know where salt comes from? Do you know where flour comes from? We do now and we went home to tell our families.

shapes....

Look at the shapes we made out of sticks and balls of plasticine. The shapes all have straight sides and so they can fit together.

Shapes Shapes Everywhere!

We are learning about shapes. We are learning about 2D shapes. We are learning about triangles, squares, rectangles, hexagons, circles and diamonds. Yesterday we learnt that a half moon shape is called a crescent. We also found out that a half circle is called a semi circle.
When we walked home we tried to find as many shapes as we could.
In class we have been making shape pictures and shape pizzas. We made shapes out of pop sticks and tooth picks and tomorrow we are going to make salt dough shapes.
Look at the photos to see if you can name the shapes.

We can write poems...

Watch this clip.
Can you talk about the squirrel and the eagle and what happens?
How does the squirrel feel?
How does the eagle feel?
How does it make you feel?
Can you think of some describing words for this clip?
